They usually involve receiving a text message or email with information about an unpaid debt. Most often they impersonate institutions such as    <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Belastingdienst<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">SVB<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">RDW<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> or utility providers.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Often such messages and their senders look very credible, giving the impression of an official source of contact. So we want to introduce you to the simplest methods of checking their authenticity. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Belastingdienst<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Not sure of the amount to be subsidized?<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">  1. Check your backlog online:<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Visit <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.belastingdienst.nl\/wps\/wcm\/connect\/nl\/betalenenontvangen\/content\/overzicht-betalen-en-ontvangen\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Belastingdienst &#8211; Overzicht Betalen en Ontvangen<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, where you can see all your arrears to Belastingdienst.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Attention:<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> If payment is deferred due to coronavirus (<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">coronauitstel<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">) will not be given one amount, but several different receivables. Some amounts may be out of date, but will give you an idea of the actual arrears. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">  2. Respond only to official letter calls:<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Belastingdienst always informs about the amounts to be paid by letter. This is a guarantee that the information is true.
